What is the difference between Freehold vs Leasehold title deeds?

A Freehold title gives the owner absolute proprietorship
over the land in perpetuity. It’s important to note that Kenyan Citizens are allowed Freehold, while non-citizens are allowed Leasehold.  

Leasehold property is held on a government lease for a specified period, usually 99-years for both local and citizens, easily renewable for the price of a peppercorn.
